The I-Site 8820 laser scanner from Maptek offers sensor technology integrated into a ruggedised modular system configured to particular survey requirements.

The device encompasses a digital camera to enable simultaneous capture of 3D laser point clouds with overlaid photo pixels and features an integrated GPS and digital compass. Productivity is improved through an enhanced interface and wireless Toughbook controller.

The I-Site 8820 is rated to IP65 to withstand tough environments such as mining and new modular design means that non-essential elements (such as the camera and telescope) can be excluded if not required.
