Getac has released the sixth-generation Getac B300 fully rugged notebook. The B300 is equipped with the latest Intel 6th Generation Core i5/i7 processors, supporting Windows 10. This upgrade improves computing efficiency, offers smoother multimedia downloading with the Intel HD 520 graphics card and strengthens protection against hacking.
It features a low power consumption design, providing 15 h of usage on a single battery and up to 30 h with an optional second battery to enhance productivity and efficiency for professional users outdoors.
The device features filterless night vision mode, ANSI explosion-proof certification and salt fog shielding, as well as rich peripheral expansion capabilities, including PCMCIA, ExpressCard, SD card reader, three USB 3.0 ports, and RS232 and VGA ports. It is suitable for vertical markets with complex environmental challenges, such as national defence, public security, emergency relief and field services. The notebook offers expanded flexibility and scope of applications through the option to connect various peripherals such as diagnostic test systems, mapping equipment and satellite signal receivers.
An Intel Wireless-AC 8260 wireless network card supports 802.11ac and offers Bluetooth 4.2 technology and optional GPS. Other options to choose from include RF dual pass through (WWAN/GPS), vehicle dock and office dock. QuadraClear panel technology enhances readability under sunlight; the screen’s brightness can reach 1400 nits for clear reading. It meets several certifications including MIL-STD 810G, IP65 and MIL-461F, and ensures -29 to 60°C operating capabilities.
