Unex cable tray and trunking range

Monday, 08 November, 2010 | Supplied by: Unex

The Unex range of cable trays is suitable for supporting insulated electric cables in commercial and industrial applications and other cable management needs, where insulation and requirements for low-smoke, halogen-free, fire-retardant properties are required.

Cable trays are a suitable alternative to conduits where changes to a wiring system are anticipated as it is easier to lay these in a tray, instead of pulling them through a pipe.

The trunking and mini-trunking systems have similar properties, while being suitable for mounting of switches and power outlets.

The trunking allows the user to use double or triple covers, providing separate compartments for power, data and other cables. A removable divider gives the user the flexibility of expanding different sections already laid down.

Materials used in the construction of cable management systems are either PVC or polycarbonate with acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), which is halogen free.

The ventilated trays have openings to allow air circulation, water drainage and to allow dust to fall through the tray. The latter is suitable where cables are located in hard-to-reach places and where these trays allow small cable to exit through the ventilation openings.

Unex systems are supplied with support brackets, outlets, switches and other fittings.

The standard colour is white (RAL9010), with aluminium colour (RAL9006) for some systems. Cable trays are available in two greys (RAL 7030 and 7035).
