Legrand Soliroc heavy-duty, protective frames

Soliroc is a range of heavy-duty, protective frames to deter vandals from damaging wiring devices installed in exposed, public and unsupervised spaces. The metal alloy finish provides a strong resistance to scratches, graffiti and lighter flames. To deny unauthorised access to wiring devices, curved edges make it difficult to gain a firm grasp of the protective frame and plugs cannot be removed once installed. For additional security, there is also an option to have lockable flaps to cover the mechanisms.

Each layer of the frame is snapped into place to create a covered module and all covered modules can withstand impacts of 20 joules (IK10 - the highest rating for impact resistance) - or the equivalent of a strong hammer blow - and are weatherproof (IP55).

Soliroc can also accommodate more than 50 Arteor mechanisms including switches, sockets, RCBOs, RJ sockets, HDMI and TV sockets. The hardwearing material, referred to as a ZAMAK metal alloy and made from a combination of zinc, aluminium, magnesium and copper, can withstand powerful cleaning chemicals.

The Soliroc range is designed for commercial premises such as sports venues, train stations, warehouses, schools, detention centres or medical facilities, and could also be considered for outdoor residential spaces such as swimming pool or barbeque areas.
