Energy-saving dimmer

The Control4 wireless dimmer is designed to save energy by enabling lighting to be dimmed marginally with minimal impact on lighting levels. For example, 25% less light output from a lamp is hardly noticeable to the human eye, but reduces electricity consumption by 20% and can quadruple lamp life.

The dimmer saves energy due to its circuitry cycling current to lights 120 times/s — too fast to notice, but significantly saving energy.

Ambient light sensors allow the dimmer to automatically adjust the lighting levels to optimise power consumption, but it can also be programmed or manually used to change the ambiance of a room.

The unit features a screw-less faceplate with customisable LED lights and can replace existing light switches as no new wires are required. It can be integrated with the Control4 automation system enabling it to be operated from any touch screen, keypad or remote.

Because the dimmer is wireless, it can be installed into new houses or retrofitted into existing houses without the need to tear open walls.
