Yamasaki TV650 Visible Fault Identifier

Thursday, 21 July, 2011 | Supplied by: Anderson Corporation Pty Ltd

The TV650 Yamasaki Visible Fault Identifier (VFI) is a device to test any losses of signals in a fibre, such as finding breaks, bends, any light leaking and faulty connectors or splices in fibre-optic cables.

The TV650 VFI shines a bright 1 mW Class 2 laser through any fibre-optic cable, causing all cracks, splits or leaks to glow a brilliant bright red. The 1 mW Class 2 laser makes it easier to identify where the fault is in a flash and it can shine over several kilometres of fibre-optic cable. The TV650 VFI is a pocket-sized device, weighing 50 g. It comes with a ready-to-go carry case, 2 x AAA batteries and universal adapter.
