The EMT Calc app, from JMC Steel Group’s Wheatland Tube division, enables electrical contractors to calculate the savings from using 20′ EMT (steel electrical metallic tubing) instead of standard 10′ EMT. This free calculator app for Android (2.2+) smartphones, tablet devices, iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad is easy to download and use. It is available on the Wheatland website, as well as in the App Store and Google Play as ‘EMT Calc’.
For long spans, Wheatland’s 20′ EMT takes approximately 20% less time to couple and install compared to 10′ EMT and requires 50% fewer couplings.
