NECA has established a new branch in New England, NSW, which will represent members in Tamworth, Armidale, Inverell, Gunnedah and Scone.

NECA NSW Executive Director Oliver Judd said that a strong branch network is vital for the exchange of ideas and information between the members and the association.

“The number of members in the New England area has grown considerably and the establishment of the branch provides members from the region with a voice to ensure that their issues and concerns are being heard and dealt with,” said Judd.

“I would like to congratulate Kevin Hartley, who has been appointed chairman of the New England branch. Kevin has invested an enormous amount of time and energy organising the establishment of the branch and has brought together a large number of electrical contractors and wholesalers from the region.”

Judd said that NECA’s branch network played a useful mentoring role for the new generation of electricians entering the industry.

“NECA’s branch network plays an important role in providing a venue for younger contractors to meet with their older peers and learn from their experience.

“We will be investing significantly into the branch networks on a continuous basis to ensure that they remain a strong, vital place to meet, and discuss ideas for the electrical contracting industry.

“Based on the success of the New England branch, we will also be looking at opening a number of additional branches in areas that have shown significant growth.”
