Control Devices Australia AVP audio and video patching

Monday, 15 March, 2010 | Supplied by: Control Devices Australia

The AVP range of audio and video patching components provides user-friendly functionality and a circuit identification system (CIS) to simplify system design, installation, operation and maintenance.

The CIS allows colour coding of every jack on the patch field (10 different colours available) to easily identify critical circuits, signal type or ‘normalling’. The CIS design maximises the viewable area of the patch field.

Designed for broadcast, satellite and telecom applications, the audio patch fields are available as Bantam and Long-frame, while the HD digital video patch fields can be configured for standard or midsize jacks. The audio Long-frame patch field can accept standard size HD digital video jacks, allowing greater flexibility.

The audio patch fields can be optioned with the rapid punch terminal system for easy installation, EDAC/ELCO connectors or pre-wired to the customer’s specification.

The jacks use front-mounting screws with rear-mounted captive nuts located under the designation strip, allowing the patch field to be rearranged or repaired quickly.
